Digital Camera Microscopes
The ideal way to utilize today's computer technology together with microscopy is the digital microscope. This instrument consists of the same optics as would a standard compound or stereo microscope but incorporates a digital USB camera built into its body. The image from the microscope is then sent to a computer program that allows the user(s) to capture still images and videos. With microscopes up to 3 megapixels, these instruments are changing the landscape of the science classroom.
